Sweet Bread (Honey Bread)
This is the easiest bread recipe I know! It always turns out perfectly- you really can't mess it up. However, what makes this my favorite bread is the sweet taste. It's perfect toasted with butter!

- 1 cup warm milk
- 2.5 tps yeast add to warm milk
- dash sugar add to warm milk
- 1 whole egg
- 1 yolk
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp baking powder
Warm the milk about 30 seconds in the microwave and add the yeast and pinch of sugar. Stir gently and let sit 5-10 minutes, until the yeast is activated.
Mix the milk/yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and honey.
Mix the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir until well incorporated, about 2-3 minutes.
Cover with a warm, wet towel for 1 hour.
Transfer dough to the bread pan it will be baked in and let rise for another hour.
Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, turning half way.
Once baked, let cool for 10 minutes, then slice it up. Add a little butter and enjoy!
